Pimps, Cocaine Smugglers and Drunks: Airline Staff Gone Wild
Following reports of a flight attendant caught smuggling cocaine, a pilot arrested for being a pimp, baggage handlers involved in a gun smuggling ring and a drunk co-pilot reporting for duty, passengers are right to be concerned about what type of people are responsible for their safety at 33,000 feet. Airline employees enjoy security privileges that normal passengers do not, allowing them to go under the radar. Although criminal checks are conducted for all airline staff, there are always some that go under the radar. It raises concerns about whether there are other staff exploiting the lax security for airline employees.
