Budget airlines are great to save a dime when flying, however, there are a few things to check on before purchasing to make sure you’re really saving.  Many budget airlines do not include baggage with the cost of your ticket and if you want to pick your seat, it’ll cost you $3-$14 each way.  It’s also a good idea to check the Airline Rating which can provide you with information on their safety rating and on-time/delay stats.  Purchase using a credit card ,if possible.  Many offer travel protection and if you have to dispute a transaction for some reason, the money isn’t taken directly from your bank account.
