Starting July 2020 JetBlue plans to be carbon -netural on all domestic U.S. flights, the first U.S. airline to do so.  Sophia Mendelsohn, head of sustainability and environmental social governance for JetBlue, said the push to become carbon neutral was brought on by climate awareness and to attract concerned customers.  The initiative is projected to offset emissions to between 15-17 billion pounds, an increase from the industry leading 2 billion currently.
