In a step towards zero-emissions air travel, NASA has received an all-electric aircraft, the X-57 Maxwell, which they will begin testing in the coming months. With the demand of more flights, airlines are looking for alternative ways to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions which the airline industry emits about 2.4 percent globally. In theory, all-electric aircrafts could save money for airlines and the consumer.
