Traveling can be a headache all its own but when your flight is delayed on top of it, that gives you even more frustration.  Now you’re able to do something about it!

If your travel plans are altered due to a delayed flight of three hours or more, you’re able to seek compensation for your time and inconvenience.  The European Court of Justice has ruled that the flight’s arrival time is determined by the time the door of the aircraft opens, not when the wheels first hit the ground.  So if a plane arrives within the three hour window but waits on the tarmac to pull up to the gate and goes over the three hours, passengers are eligible for compensation ranging from $160 to $800 per person.
