Aircraft cabins are set for an overhaul as early as 2017 as airplane manufacturers outline their bold new plans to recreate the air travel experience. Airbus is planning to roll out broadband on its new aircraft allowing passengers to make calls and access the internet faster, as well as mood lighting, wider seats and larger overhead luggage bins. Some of the more radical ideas include a Sky Deck on the top of the plane offering 360 degree views, windowless planes with LED screens covering the interior walls and bunk-bed type pods allowing passengers to lie down in flight with their own screens.
